Ganeshotsav 2005

Hi friends Im publishing this post after the awesome Ganeshotsav this year, though there are few days for the ganeshotsav to get over, At my place we did the Ganapati visarjan along with the Gauri visarjan on the 6th day.

As every year, this year also it was an amazing festival.Heavy rains surely affected the fest but nothing really matters when it comes to Ganesh fest in Mumbai!

Its a great time to meet relatives, friends almost after a long time. Many of them meeting after years.

Its a festival Im always waiting for,and somehow it creates a pleasant atmosphere with a special guest,Ganapati coming at our place! And everyone prays to lord Ganesh for the same happiness throughout the year. And this year Im sure the prayers must have increased after 26/7.

It was nice to see people celebrating the fest with the same spirit even after the disasters and may lord Ganesh shower his blessings on us!

9th sep,We got scared!

It was almost like 26/7 , rains started and in just in an hour or so it became scary.People started saying that trains are slow and the next moment the news came that trains are not working.

We thought we are stuck again with nowhere to go,with ganesh festival going on i didnt want to stay at the hostel.Soon everyone started to leave the college and suggestions kept on coming on how to reach our homes !

We reached Kings circle station somehow just to see that the trains were not leaving to bandra and blamegame started. Then luckily we heard that western line was working fine and made a decision to reach mahim by walking on the tracks!

I had a feeling somehow that trains would start working in few mins as rain slowed down, But i was thinking about the worst nightmare. And it was about the health camps that we as interns did the last time this happened, but luckily there was a huge sigh of relief to see the trains working and everything was fine as rains stopped.

We looked like fools walking on the tracks with the trains passing by.....!
